Creating API keys for OKX
Before creating new API, please make sure that you have switched to OKX in your Tiger.Trade Broker account:
To connect your OKX (Tiger.Trade Broker) account in the terminal, you will need to create a pair of API keys by following a few simple steps:
1) Log in to your Tiger.Trade Broker account and select the API tab on the top panel:
2) Click on the New API key + button to generate new keys:
3) Enter a name for your new key and activate the Trade option if necessary (this toggle will provide an opportunity to perform trading operations in the platform):
Name - your API key unique name, that will be available only to you.
Passphrase - create a special phrase that will be used in Tiger.Trade to connect to the exchange in File => Connections => Setup => OKX:
Read access - allows you to receive information on open positions, orders and your account balance. This setting is always activated by default.
Trade - allows you to perform trading operations.
IP addresses - specify trusted IP addresses that will be added to the white list.Trading operations from other IP addresses will be rejected by the exchange.
Please keep in mind that this address is most often dynamic (changes from time to time), so in this case you will also need to change it in the API settings.
The most convenient way is to use a static IP address (a permanent one), which can be checked with your Internet provider.
4) Click on the Create API button to generate a the key:
Important: The Secret Key will be shown only once at the time of creating the API key. If you forgot the Secret Key, you need to create a new API.
5) Copy your new API key, password and Secret Key and keep it in a safe place.
Click Done to save your API settings:
